File could not be printed due to an error
The end user can click ok to clear the error but this isn't ideal. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. It must be something to do with the print driver as this is the only printer of its type in the building. Only this team are having these issues. Changing the driver fixes the excel issue BUT every other universal driver we try causes different issues slow print out, gibberish text.
Hi all Current setup is Windows 10 - office - and the error message is a strange one indeed affecting 4 members of staff sharing a network printer who are not even trying to print when this message appears! I love the double use of the word "on" Anyway I have tried office 32 and 64 bit - no joy. Funnily enough printing is working? Are you doing anything like "Fit to Page"? What font? Calibri has been known to create some issues.
Since it is only affecting Excel I am thinking that this issue is either with the file in question or Excel. As noted by dbeato, most likely Excel or that particular file problem. Try to run Excel as administrator and print the file in question. Copy the data from the file to a new fresh spread sheet and then try to print.
So, I guess I did lead you a bit a stray. The users are having the issues when JUST opening the file. The error pops up on open. This is the issue. They are not trying to print it. The common link between the PC and users who experience the issues is the M printer. The only way to bypass the error is to change the view to normal. Not hard coded. Default printer on the users PC.
The sheets when changed to print by previous users will be saved in print view. The printer however is the local default printer. Well, that is an entirely different issue. The cause, according to this Spiceworks thread, was the wrong driver for the printer. Just had the same exact issue a few minutes ago on a Win 10 64 ENT build with office x This thread is locked. I have the same question Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. Joe's answer. Try copying the data from the present worksheet to new one and check how it prints. How satisfied are you with this reply?
