Omnicare clinical team members oversee the testing together with CVS Pharmacy team members who are on-site at the LTC facility to collect samples and deliver results for residents and staff on the same day. These collaborations help increase access to testing in nursing homes statewide, and specifically those facilities that have been hardest hit by the pandemic.

This pilot helped us learn how to maximize efficiency and safety at a drive-thru site and enabled us to scale up and launch large-scale rapid test sites in a short period of time. The sites were located in large public parking lots identified in conjunction with local state officials as an easily accessible area that could accommodate multiple lanes of cars at one time.
