Sony ericsson z520i software

The interior of the phone is completely white except for the four-way navigation button, which is silver and round, with an OK button in the middle. This may cause some problems if you wear make up or eat a lot of chocolate, as it might rub off and stain the pristine surface of the keypad. At the top of the keypad, on either side of the navigation key, there's two soft keys and a return and cancel button underneath those.

The number keys are well sized and easy to press and the Web browser and power button are right at the bottom so you won't press them by mistake. Features The Zi's most interesting feature is the hidden blue lights that sit around the keypad and flash. They can be set to flash when you receive a call or a message and you can even assign different types of flashing to different people in your contacts.

This means that if you set your phone to silent and you see it flash a certain way, you know exactly who's calling you. The VGA camera can take still shots and videos. You can select a variety of shoot modes that include panorama and burst, which takes four photographs in quick succession. You can add fun frames, such as a rabbit with room for a new face, to your photos.

The night mode works well and is useful for taking shots in low light, but there's no flash. When you want to view your photos you can select the slideshow feature to view all your photos without having to scroll through each one, which is very useful. You can also use this phone hands-free with the speakerphone and use voice commands to dial contact numbers without touching the keypad.

Voice dialling is activated by holding the volume button or by using the magic-word feature. Finished in gloss white with silver trim, the flip Zi is a joy to cup in your hand and looks extremely sleek and stylish. We didn't understand the need for the large bulky handle on top of the unit though - it could have been removed to make the phone much more attractive and smaller in size as well.

The Zi has an excellent external screen, which is quite small in size but still big enough to display important information including Time and Date, Battery Life, Reception Levels, Profiles and Background Wallpaper. We think that it's very important and convenient for flip phones to have an external screen, and it's good to see that Sony Ericsson agrees. Flipped open, the Zi continues the all white theme, and the blue backlit keypad is an extremely nice touch.

A flashy feature is the light effects, which notify you of incoming calls, missed calls and new messages. For example, when the phone rings, and you flip the Zi open to answer the incoming call, the area surrounding the keypad lights up and flashes to the music of your ring tone. These lights can be adjusted to settings such as Waterfall, Heartbeat and Fountain. Call us easily amused, but in the day and age where mobile phones are seemingly fashion statements rather than communication devices, we liked this feature.

The Zi internal screen doesn't break any new ground and with just 65k colours, it is already quite outdated. We would have liked to have seen a newer k colour screen on this particular unit, but in saying this, the display is still quite clear and crisp.

We did find it difficult to view in direct sunlight though and we also think the viewing angle could be improved. The screen also flickers on and off for about a second when you flip open the phone, but this is more of an annoyance than a significant problem.

It can also perform a repair installation of your phone's operating system and it can allow you to access the internet without a LAN or WLAN connection, through using your phone as a tethered connector. As well as offering the drivers needed to connect your phone to your PC or laptop, it offers a useful range of secure backup, editing, and maintenance functions you won't have access to otherwise. This has so many functions and features that just so useful!

But, what I really love the most is its ability to perform a repair installation on the user's phone operating system. I remember wanting to change my Sony Ericsson mobile phone to iPhone because they have iTunes suite but now that I discovered this and I find this software more easier to use than iTunes, I won't change my phone now!

The progra m works very without even a single lags, bugs and glitches. I highly recommend this software to my fellow Sony Ericsson mobile users. You must download this software for your phone! It's just so easy to learn and use. I think I only spent half an hour to fully know the func tions and features that this bundle offers.

The predictive text was a cinch to use and really sped up sending SMS's. Despite coming without some common Australian words, it was quick to learn those it didn't already know.

The in-built camera was of a decent quality if nowhere near Sony's 2-megapixel Ki or Sharp's 3-megapixel which are both more expensive phones. You'll be able to take good quality happy snaps and OK short videos.

A panorama option was quite functional and there are some basic effects like sepia and black and white. The ability to theme all aspects of the phone is definitely a plus and you can tinker to your heart's delight. Some users will see the lack of 3G connectivity at a time when all the major mobile carriers in Australia have launched high-speed third-generation 3G networks as a minus.

But if you don't need 3G features like video calling, you probably won't miss them. The Good Good quality camera. Extensive theming options. In-phone media editing software. Good file format support. Great user interface. Java game support.
